Best View winner!

My local newspaper, The News Shopper, has an online camera club and recently was running a competition to find an image to be used as it's Facebook and Twitter banner.

I entered one of mine from my local park where I walk my dogs, and was pleasantly surprised to be told it had won, and as well as getting exposure from their sites, I'll also get £50 for it.

"Afternoon everyone. I was taken aback by the number of entries for the 'best view' competition and the quality of them. It was a nice problem to have but it made choosing a winner extremely difficult. Many of the photos could have won on another day but in the end it's this entry from Neal Puttock that is our winning photo this time. The photo being of Five Arches, which is such a popular choice in this camera club, had something to do with it along how the colours and the way the picture was taken are just pleasing to the eye. Well done Neal - and thanks to everyone else who entered.We're running a small selection of 'best view' photos in the paper this week and I'll be running a bigger selection of them on the website in the next few days so others can see some of the great contributions we had."
