A true slice of paradise

Last month I was extremely lucky to be taking my summer holiday in Florida. We've done Florida lots of times now, but nearly almost exclusively for the theme parks, but this time was different. We flew into Tampa and after a 40 minute drive we left the mainland of Florida to arrive at Anna Maria Island. The heat was incredible, the humidity steamed up my lens every time I got my camera out and we were the main meal for mosquitoes every day.....but the sunsets and sun rises more than made up for it.

Every day at sunset the 7 mile long beach is lined with people watching the sun fade behind the horizon, but mornings were different. I had the place to myself, so I made the most of it. And if you ever go, check out Skinny's Burgers and Beer - best burgers in the USA!
